方楚雄男，汉族，广东普宁人，1950年10月生于广东汕头市，。自幼酷爱绘画，六岁拜王兰若为师，后又随刘昌潮习画。现为广州美术学院中国画系教授、硕士研究生导师、中国美术家协会会员、广东美术家协会常务理事、广东中国画艺委员会委员、暨南大学兼职教授。中国文联、中国美协评为‘97中国画坛百杰。2020年6月4日，方楚雄以2019年度公开拍卖市场作品总成交额3,194万元人民币名列《2020胡润中国艺术榜》第20位。Fang Chuxiong Male, Han nationality, from Puning, Guangdong, born in Shantou, Guangdong in October 1950. 著名花鸟画家。现为中国美术家协会会员，广东美术家协会常务理事，广州美术学院中国画系副主任、教授、北京唐风美术馆高级艺术顾问。七十年代就读于广州美术学院，深受岭南画派的影响，同时偏好宋人花鸟画。他的花鸟画既不失传统的法度，又充满浓郁的生活气息和时代的审美趣味，画风清新典雅、灵秀雄健。近年来，他在澳大利亚、新西兰、新加坡，台湾、香港、上海、广州等地举办数十次个人画展。作品多次入选全国美展并获奖。其代表作被北京人民大会堂、中南海、全国政协、钓鱼台国宾馆、军事博物馆、北京唐风美术馆及多家美术馆、博物馆收藏。Famous flower and bird painter.
